Sr. Maintenance Specialist

Responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of facility infrastructure, production systems, and related equipment. Performs skilled maintenance activities including installation, modification, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of plant systems in accordance with established procedures and industry standards. Exercises sound judgment and considerable independence in determining work methods and priorities while supporting overall facility and production performance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment.
  • Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, manuals, and technical documentation to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Install, modify, upgrade, and commission production equipment, fixtures, and control systems.
  • Analyze and resolve complex equipment malfunctions affecting manufacturing and facility operations.
  • Support automation systems, machine communications, control logic, and equipment integration.
  • Plan and execute maintenance and repair projects, including material identification and procurement support.
  • Fabricate, modify, and install piping, equipment components, and related plant systems.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic instruments, forklifts, and elevated work platforms safely and effectively.
  • Maintain organized inventory, material storage, and safe housekeeping standards within maintenance and shop areas.
  • Generate material lists from engineering concepts and ensure project readiness through proper material planning.
  • Support equipment startup, testing, debugging, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Handle hazardous materials and waste in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements when required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Senior-level maintenance professional with demonstrated expertise in industrial maintenance, equipment repair, troubleshooting, and facility support.
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant maintenance experience, or seven (7) years of experience combined with an Associate degree or equivalent technical certification in a related field.
  • Serves as a role model for safety, housekeeping, operational excellence, and effective time management; actively supports the training, mentoring, and development of maintenance team members.
  • Experience in a similar plant environment or in the construction industry. 
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing tools and piping systems 
  • Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds 
  • Valid driver license with a clean record 
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
