Team Lead(s) - Manufacturing & Product Divisions - 2nd SHIFT

JOB TITLE:  Team Lead Operator(s)

LOCATION:  Erie, PA

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Serve in a lead operator for the Crystal Manufacturing/Production area.  Following direction from direct supervisor and operations leadership, coordinate work activities and obtain resources necessary to meet manufacturing goals.  This role requires a level of detail and focus.  Work at assembly stations within the manufacturing setting, collaborating with other assemblers and engineers to ensure that quartz products are finished according to specifications.  You will be required to conduct quality assurance procedures to determine that quartz final assembled products and components are free of damage and correctly assembled.

REPORTS TO: Manufacturing Manager

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow instructions and lead area employees, under direction from direct supervisor and operations management.

·    Train operators in all aspects of department.

·    Allocate work throughout the department.

·    Troubleshoot and solve daily manufacturing and technical issues. 

  • Work with production/assembly instructions, parts lists, drawings, and verbal instructions to assemble a wide assortment of products or components.

·    Positions components manually, or via hand tools, in order to complete assigned tasks.

·    Operate production machinery as needed.

·    Solder/de-solder components in order to assemble final product.

·    Perform other duties as assigned.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·    High School Diploma or GED is required

  • 2+ years hands-on assembly, electronics, or testing experience within production preferred

·    IPC J-STD-001 Certification for “Requirements for Soldering Electrical and Electronic Assemblies”

·    Ability to read and comprehend work instructions

  • Ability to complete basic mathematics problems and know how to read measuring devices to perform required assembly tasks
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to work within a variety of Microsoft Office products and other computer software applications
