Assembly Operator
LOCATION: Erie, PA
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Prepare quartz crystals and other materials within a variety of production designs using hand tools, small equipment, and work instructions. Ensure quartz crystal material is prepared to specifications and conduct quality assurance procedures to determine that the materials are free of damage and correctly assembled.
REPORTS TO: Manufacturing Manager
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Works with production/assembly instructions, parts lists, drawings and verbal instructions to assemble a wide assortment of products or components.
· Positions components manually or utilizing a variety of small hand tools such as hand crimpers, pliers, tweezers or screw drivers.
· Must be able to use a microscope
· Excellent eye and hand coordination
· Operate simple equipment occasionally.
· Requires ability to concentrate for extended periods of time on highly repetitive tasks.
· Work at different workstations as production needs require.
· Solder and de-solder components/parts from the product at times will be required to assemble the final product or component.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or GED is required
· IPC J-STD-001 Certification for “Requirements for Soldering Electrical and Electronic Assemblies”
· Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
· Ability to complete basic mathematics problems and know how to read measuring devices to perform required assembly tasks.
· Basic computer skills, including the ability to work within a variety of Microsoft Office products and other computer software applications.
