Job Profile:

The Sustainability Specialist supports the organization’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy with a strong focus on carbon footprint tracking, emissions transparency, and customer ESG disclosures. This role supports the collection, validation, and reporting of Scope 1, Scope 2, and relevant Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data, enabling accurate sustainability information for customer ESG scorecards, sales enablement, and internal leadership reporting. The role partners cross functionally with EHSS, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Sales, and Marketing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ·         Support company‑wide tracking and maintenance of Scope 1, Scope 2, and applicable Scope 3 GHG emissions’ data used for internal, customer and stakeholder reporting.·         Maintain emissions inventories, methodologies, boundaries, and support documentation to ensure data consistency, transparency, and audit readiness.·         Assist with tracking environmental performance indicators, including energy use, emissions, trends, waste, and water, as relevant to internal reporting.·         Serve as a primary support function for completion of customer ESG scorecards, sustainability surveys, and Supplier Assessment Questionnaires (SAQs) related to environmental, social, governance, and carbon footprint topics.·         Maintain carbon and ESG‑related dashboards, KPIs, and scorecards for internal leadership review and customer engagement.·         Support preparation of executive‑level sustainability and ESG presentations used in customer meetings and internal reviews.·         Help ensure consistency between internal ESG reporting and externally shared customer information.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in sustainability, ESG reporting, environmental data analysis, EHSS, or related roles. 
  • Experience supporting customer facing ESG, sustainability, or carbon disclosures preferred.
  • Working knowledge of carbon accounting and reporting concepts, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience managing structured environmental or sustainability data.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate technical ESG data into customer‑appropriate, sales‑ready language.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Smartsheet helpful.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross‑functionally in a deadline‑driven environment.
  • Primarily office‑based; periodic interaction with manufacturing or operational teams as required for data collection.
  • Limited travel may be required to support sustainability initiatives.
