Principal Electrical Engineer (RF) Low Frequency

JOB TITLE:  Principal Engineer – Crystal

LOCATION:  Erie, PA

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Serve as subject matter expert for all Crystal design requirements, circuit compliance, design decisions, mathematical modeling, and department best practices.  Responsible for building domain expertise within the company and be recognized as an industry expert.  Lead company execution of advanced precision timing and frequency control products, advancements in research and development of new technologies, assuring New Product Introduction to the factory is with high quality, recommendations for continuous improvement, and product sustainability strategies.

REPORTS TO: 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Serve as company subject matter expert towards new innovative research and development concepts and ideas.

·         Lead engineering group throughout design lifecycle, identify and resolve technical risks.

·         Solve highly complex technical problems, providing expertise to team.

·         Lead technical conversations with customers.

·         Develop and manage functional team budgetary plans for assigned objectives and make adjustments to minimize cost impacts.  Ensure on time delivery of all tasks within the team.

·         Serve as industry SME, present concepts at conventions.

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Master’s  or PhD preferred, plus a minimum of 12 years’ experience.  Advanced degree can be used in lieu of specific industry experience.

·         Excellent communications skills, both internal and external facing, primarily via email and face-to-face

·         Ability to direct, oversee, and lead personnel, including ability to develop junior-level engineers

·         Strong technical depth and understanding in the area of Crystals

·         Per ITAR Compliance, must be a US citizen or US permanent resident
