Test Technician Intern

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

We are a team who ensures products are working exactly as intended and are free of defects or other issues. Execute test procedures per work instructions, capture test data, and pass or fail the assembled product. You’ll troubleshoot defects and lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process.

Are you interested in contributing to the assembly assemble and testing of manufactured electronic products starting at the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase to the End Of Life (EOL)? 

We’re looking for a passionate Test Technician Intern to join our team. 

You’ll have the opportunity to hone your skills and learn new ones too. The internship has the potential to evolve into a permanent full-time role. 

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Work with a small team.

·         Escalate risks and issues that could impact priorities within the production plan. 

·         Learn inspections based on quality standards.

·         Set up and maintain test setups throughout the product production lifecycle. 

·         Execute product Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)

·         Solder and de-solder components / parts from the product

·         Work at different workstations as production needs require. 

·       Learn how to document test results and product data as required by the manufacturing router and End Item Data Packets (EIDP). 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successfully working toward an ABET accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering, with a specific focus in Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Focus and ability to recognize problems
  • An eye for good design and a taste for good user experience.
  • Ability to recognize problems and perform advanced troubleshooting steps to identify manufacturing, design and/or testing defects.
