ELECTRICAL ENGINEER II, RF ANALOG

The Electrical Engineer II (RF & Analog Design) will be responsible for the design, analysis, and validation of high-performance analog and RF circuits for advanced electronic systems. This role focuses on developing low-noise, high-stability circuits supporting precision oscillators, frequency control devices, and communication subsystems. The engineer will work cross-functionally with systems, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to take designs from concept through production, ensuring technical excellence, reliability, and manufacturability.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

As an Electrical Engineer II, you’ll have the opportunity design analog and digital circuits for our advanced precision timing and frequency control products where you will derive best practices, design and manage modular “vital organs” that maximizes re-use, and manage product requirements and performance targets. You’ll be the point of contact for the interface from New Product Development (NPD) to New Product Introduction (NPI) to manufacturing and qualification test results.

Must be passionate and collaborative professional that can lead through their personality traits.  In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to be accountable for the company’s execution of advanced precision timing and frequency control products, New Product Introduction (NPI) to the factory, continuous improvement, product sustainability, and design for manufacturability and testability.

Our Electrical Engineer II will work with the product design team to execute product design, simulations, analysis, unit testing and the release process to manufacturing. You’ll team with multi-functional groups to execute NPIs, communicate issues and risks, provide technical support, and manage Non-Conforming Reports (NCR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO) during product sustainability phase.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and design analog and digital complex components and systems and make all the necessary calculations to support the design.
  • Develop low-noise, high-stability circuits supporting precision oscillators, frequency control devices, and communication subsystems.
  • Develop, perform and analyze results for all tests to verify and validate the design.
  • Develop and maintain all design documentation and present the objective evidence to the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) at the lifecycle gates (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, PRR).
  • Work cross-functionally with systems, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to take designs from concept through production, ensuring technical excellence, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Identify and manage issues and potential risks to the product development, and work with the team to resolve and mitigate.
  • Organize and prepare daily tasks to maximize time management and identify productivity opportunities within the development lifecycle.
  • Team with multi-functional groups to execute NPIs, communicate issues and risks, provide technical support, and manage Non-Conforming Reports (NCR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO) during product sustainability phase.
  • Identifies and manages the company's budgetary plan for the objectives assigned and make adjustments to minimize cost impacts.
  • On time delivery of all tasks, communicate with the team, and be a great team player and leader.
  • Track individual performance to assigned activities-, short- and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Works with little direction and within a structured process, system and team environment to deliver on department and company requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 4–7 years of hands-on experience in analog and RF circuit design and test.
  • Proficiency with design and simulation tools (Altium, OrCAD, ADS, LTSpice, etc.).
  • Experience with RF test equipment (network/spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators).
  • Strong knowledge of impedance matching, noise analysis, filtering, and PCB design for high-frequency circuits.
  • Experience with low-phase-noise oscillators, crystal or SAW resonators, or timing subsystems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and mixed-signal design integration.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently on complex technical problems and meet project milestones in a fast-paced environment.
