Mechanical Design Engineer
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, installation, and startup processes for major equipment projects throughout the global organization.
- Coordinate with global manufacturing groups regarding new equipment design, tooling design, equipment installation, etc.
- Training and process documentation .
- Improve existing manufacturing processes .
- Coordination of preventative maintenance for laboratory equipment .
- Systematic problem solving skills .
- Process capability, PFMEA, SPC, GR&R and other quality tools .
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years of applicable experience.
- Must be proficient in SolidWorks and ACAD.
- Extensive experience in mechanical assembly and equipment troubleshooting.
- Proven skills in tooling design and fabrication.
- Capable of specifying automated process equipment.
- Must be self-motivated, able work both independently and with cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
- Position could require some domestic and international travel working on projects related to the development, testing and evaluation of industrial equipment for production facilities.
