Position Overview:

KYOCERA AVX is seeking a skilled and dynamic Global Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Manager to join our team. This dynamic and impactful role is responsible for supporting and maintaining our HRIS Platform and related business processes and workflows. The Global HRIS Manager will drive the functionality and effectiveness of our HRIS, Workday, including compensation programs, performance reviews, talent management, USA payroll, benefits administration, and reporting efforts. This role emphasizes data analysis and the development of critical reports and dashboards for the organization. Additionally, the Global HRIS Manager will collaborate with HR Partners across our global manufacturing footprint to implement best in class HR system and processes. 

Key Functions:

  • Oversee and maintain the optimal function of our HRIS, Workday, including security administration, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades of applications, systems, and modules.
  • Ensure the accuracy and security of the Workday system data.
  • Install, implement, modify, and upgrade applications to meet evolving business and technology needs.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to global HR Partners.
  • Manage permissions, access, personalization, and system settings.
  • Compile and assist with complex data reports (matrix), summaries, and logs requested by senior executives and Corporate HR Team.
  • Handle HR reporting requests and develop dashboards for key metrics.
  • Serve as a lead representative and liaison between HRIS, Information Technology, external vendors, and other stakeholders for Workday design and implementation projects.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and HRIS applications.
  • Work closely with executive leadership and global HR team to identify and implement improvements and enhancements to the Workday platform.

Preferred Qualifications:

This position sits onsite at our corporate office in Fountain Inn, SC (Greenville-Spartanburg). This is not a remote position. We offer hybrid option of working from home, 5 days each month.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business or IT.
  • Experience: Five (5) years supporting HCM configuration in Workday or a similar HRIS platform, experience maintaining and configuring Workday HCM or similar HRIS system in a business-as-usual environment.
  • Skills: Proactive approach to issue resolution and system support. High level of analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Excel especially V-lookups and pivot tables.HR Policy Knowledge: Familiarity with human resources policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs.
  • System Design Expertise: Proven experience maintaining and configuring HCM using Workday or similar HRIS system in a business-as-usual environment.
  • Functional knowledge of HR processes like Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, Payroll, Onboarding, Performance, and Learning.
  • Professional Integrity: Ability to manage and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information and to use discretion, diplomacy, and tact.
