For KYOCERA AVX Greenville LLC we are looking for a Chemical Batching Operator at our location in Fountain Inn

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

We are currently looking for Operators on 1st and 2nd Shift

Responsible for performing chemical batching (SLIP/Metals/RMM) work in a manufacturing setting.  Starts, operates, tends, stops, and cleans machines.  Inspects product to ensure high quality standards.   You would usually work as part of a team under the supervision of a shift Production Supervisor.

Note: Internal company title is Materials Operator - Slip.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Measuring grading and feeding batches of raw materials into production machinery.
  • Operating production equipment.
  • Reporting equipment faults to maintenance staff or supervisor.
  • Monitoring the batching process and carrying out basic testing and quality checks.
  • Storing goods and raw materials in a factory or warehouse.
  • Using lifting equipment and forklift trucks as needed.
  • Cleaning and maintaining work areas and machinery.
  • Handle hazardous waste/chemicals
  • Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  •          High School diploma or GED is required
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent math skills
  • Willing and able to work with chemicals
  • Must be willing and able to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to learn new job functions as needed.
  • Ability to train other operators in all aspects of the department.
  • Ability to follow instructions and lead area employees with little supervision.
  • Ability to follow all safety and environmental standards for the department.
