PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This position is responsible for providing technical business development product demonstrations and sales support to customers within our various divisions, focusing on commercial, industrial, medical, and Hi Rel components for electronic systems. You will work closely with field sales, development engineering and customers to identify technical application requirements leading to customer design approvals and new business for KAVX. Additionally you will provide sales & marketing solutions for newly designed technological products.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product management to develop customer specific passive solutions resulting in the design-in of AVX products.
Analyzing customer application requirements and working with engineering to determine project feasibility.
Prepare technical proposals, defining technical solution guidelines for sales support.
Development of product and program implementation plans.
Keeping current with the latest electronic components technology.
Tracking, monitoring and communicating the status of project and design activities.
Troubleshoot applications upon customer request. Assist in the resolution of customer engineering issues regarding AVX product applications.
Build credibility with customer base so they continually use you as a primary source. Continuously follow up on customer activities and monitor activity to identify new sales opportunities.
Consistently provide product training for sales representatives and distribution sales teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Electrical engineering experience/aptitude preferred
5+ years of experience in technical marketing/sales, preferably related to electronic design and component manufacturing
Excellent communication and relationship building skills at the sales and customer level
Ability to travel 50% to 75% of the time. Occasional travel overseas may be required
Must have clear understanding of electrical engineering applications as it relates to customer applications
