POSITION SUMMARY:

The candidate to fill the role must be a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst (BA) to join our Global MES Team. This strategic role is critical in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and Regional MES Teams to ensure the successful delivery of software solutions aligned with business needs. The BA will play a key role in improving requirement quality, reducing rework, and increasing delivery success rates by bringing structured analysis, planning, and communication into our development lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a liaison between business users, stakeholders, and the programmer analysts to gather, define, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear, complete, and testable functional specifications.
  • Conduct process mapping, gap analysis, and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Collaborate with programmer analysts to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with requirements.
  • Facilitate and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, and validation of business needs.
  • Support change management efforts by preparing documentation, training materials, and communication plans for new features and updates.
  • Analyze recurring support incidents to identify and eliminate root causes through system or process improvements.
  • Document and track KPIs (e.g., rework hours, support incident rates, delivery timelines) to measure ongoing value and performance.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across Programmer Analysts.
  • Contribute to the scalability and maintainability of the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) platform through consistent documentation and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or in a similar role within an IT or software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in requirement elicitation techniques, process mapping, and documentation tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or equivalents).

Preferred:

  • Experience in manufacturing systems, MES platforms, or industrial IT environments.
  • Exposure to light technical validation, data analysis, or QA activities.
  • Familiarity with KPIs, metrics tracking, and data-driven decision-making.
