Primary Function

This position will be responsible for the transfer, scale up and maintenance of a ceramic capacitor manufacturing process. The candidate will become knowledgeable in operation of equipment and process steps for manufacturing processes such as casting, printing, lamination, dicing, and firing. The candidate will be responsible for training, documentation, troubleshooting, and process improvements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process development, validation, verification and qualification
  • Process capability, PFMEA, SPC, GR&R and other quality tools
  • Data gathering and analysis, troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Lean manufacturing and six sigma tools application
  • Design, development, and maintain manufacturing processes
  • Improve existing manufacturing processes
  • Systematic problem solving skills
  • May handle hazardous waste
  • New Product Introductions (NPI)
    • Work with customers, suppliers, program managers, design engineers, and manufacturing engineers to develop and launch new products at our facilities around the world.
  • Continuous Improvement projects
    • Participate in, and lead, efforts to reduce scrap & increase efficiency in manufacturing operations,
    • Support NPI, requests for quotations, corrective actions, etc.
  • Corrective Actions
    • Respond quickly to customers when they have problems or questions.
    • Investigate root causes of defects.
    • Implement permanent corrective actions in manufacturing &/or business systems to prevent recurrence of defects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, preferably Mechanical
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously to timely completion
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, results, and team-oriented global environment 
  • Effectively lead and work in teams to develop and implement sustainable solutions
  • Ability to travel in support of job function
  • Work with many cross functional areas of business
