Position Summary

 
The Corporate EHSS Manager will help to direct, develop, and coordinate global EHSS policies and initiatives with a particular emphasis on internal auditing and chemical management. Working with the Corporate EHSS Team members and local EHSS partners, this role will be responsible for leading programs that protect people from environmental hazards and workplace hazards, as well as protecting the environment from human hazards.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of strategic plans and establish goals to improve overall EHSS programs and performance. 
  • Support implementation and maintenance of key safety and environmental management systems like ISO 45001 SMS, ISO 14001 EMS, and ISO 50001 EM.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal EHSS audits across our global organization including tracking of all information and corrective actions. 
  • Manage the collection of global and plant level environmental information and initiatives, including chemical use, energy usage, GHGs, waste, water, recycling and report performance.
  • Develop, deploy and maintain EHS policies, procedures, guidelines and training programs to support related goals and objectives, maintain compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements and reduce the risk within the organization. 
  • Maintain a working knowledge of global EHSS regulations, ISO standards and chemical and environmental controls.  
  • Manage key EHSS projects, programs, and initiatives, including chemical use and sustainability.
  • Prepare and conduct EHS training programs and maintain proper records. 
  • Drive improvements to eliminate hazards in our facilities to create a zero-incident and risk-free workplace. 
  • Lead continuous improvement opportunities either in work practices or work conditions. 
  • Perform other related duties as required. 

Requirements

  • BS Degree is required, preferably with 5+ years of responsibility for multiple sites.
  • Experience with EHSS auditing programs in a global manufacturing setting.  
  • Knowledgeable in TSCA, REACH, ROHS and other chemical use reporting standards.
  • Be self-directed and detail-oriented, manage confidential information and be able to work independently.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Good understanding and experience with O365 desktop applications.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25-50%.
