Summary

Along with the Corporate EHSS team, the Corporate EHSS Manager (Environmental Programs) will help to direct, develop, and coordinate KAVX’s global environmental, health, safety & security policies, initiatives, and activities. This role will lead managing global environmental programs and environmental protection activities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee global environmental assessment work, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and Remediation, remedial design plans, remedial implementation, regulatory closure, and other environmental services.
  • Retain and oversee external consultants on all appropriate aspects of projects.
  • Track project schedule and deliverables, prepare reports, monitor project budgets, and update management with limited supervision.
  • Handle administrative tasks and demonstrate efficient project management skills.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of key environmental management systems like ISO 14001 EMS and ISO 50001 EM.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of strategic plans and establish goals to improve overall environmental programs and performance.
  • Manage the data collection efforts for global and plant level environmental information and initiatives, including energy usage, GHGs, waste, water, and recycling.
  • Spread awareness of environmental and safety management rules and standards throughout KAVX and promote continuous improvement.
  • Communicate with all levels of the organization, customers, legal counsel, local community leaders, regulators, and contractors as needed relating to environment programs and initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • BS Degree is required, preferably with 10+ years of responsibility for multiple sites.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Phase I and Phase II ESAs, site remediation and related work.
  • Experience with GHG reduction planning and sustainability initiatives a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in ESG disclosures, CBAM, REACH, ROHS etc. also a plus.
  • Be self-directed and detail-oriented, manage confidential information and be able to work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Good understanding and experience with O365 desktop applications.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25-50%.
