Job Description

  • Must have a minimum of three years of experience in desired field.
  • Repair all equipment both electronic and mechanical as needed, including but not limited to hydraulic and motor driven mechanical systems, as well as knowledge of digital systems, electronic sensors, and programming P.C. controls systems.
  • Assist in keeping spare parts in place.
  • Assist in the decisions to purchase new equipment to improve process.
  • Must have a clear working knowledge of both electro and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of production, engineering, and facility equipment. 
  • This includes such duties as:
    • Assembles, sets up, overhauls, repairs, and maintains all plant equipment utilizing skills and knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and motor driven mechanical sensors, programming and P.C. control systems.
    • Work with senior and engineering personnel to change and improve equipment and systems to increase productivity and/or yields, reduce machine failures and downtime.
  • Maintain documentation and communication in all areas of assigned responsibilities.

·         Read and understand electrical and electronic schematics and ladder logic.

  • Recommend changes in the process and equipment.
  • Must have a basic understanding of the mechanical machine systems.
  • Working knowledge of machine shop equipment, hand tools, welder, and do basic sheet metal fabrication.
  • Set up, troubleshoot and maintain equipment as required.
  • Plan details of assigned projects including methods and scope.
  • Maintain documentation and communication in all areas of responsibility.
  • Responsible for the setting up, writing SOP’s for the process they have developed or helped to develop.
  • Work with outside vendors/customers as necessary.
  • May assist in the training of operators on an on going basis.
  • Interface and communicate as required.
  • Understand and follow SOP, Slash, PDC, SDS and any other applicable specifications.
  • Complete respective paperwork and computer entries as necessary.
  • Adhere consistently to safety practices.
  • Adhere continuously to housekeeping standards.
